Forgiveness - Not Just Pets

Forgiveness

Forgiveness- It is one of the hardest things people can do. It is easy to say, but to actually forgive someone who has hurt you or done unspeakable things to you. That is hard. There is just one little thing that may just take the cake with being the hardest thing anyone can forgive. Themselves. We easily forgive others for making mistakes, reluctantly to some who may have unintentionally caused us harm or, after years of therapy and medications and ripping your hair out and wanting nothing more than to just lay down in a hole and never get out, forgiving the ones that hurt us the absolute worse. But when it comes to ourselves, we are SOOO critical of EVERY little thing we do. EVERY mistake. WE are OUR worst abusers. It's no wonder people are so hungry to interject in everyone else's lives instead of looking within themselves to see what's going on. How can we forgive ourselves for allowing ourselves to be in certain situations? How can we forgive ourselves for not being where we think we should be at this time in our lives? How can we forgive ourselves for not being good enough to do anything? HOW!?

Well. It's easy really. Honestly. Animals all over the world have shown us this forgiving, compassionate, unconditional love that is next to none on this planet. Yet we can't seem to figure out why? We make excuses for it "Maybe if they knew what I've done" "It's cause I care for them" "They don't know any better" That's actually not the case. They know that at the end of the day, you did your best, you did what you needed to do in the moment. You are more than what you allow your mind to think you are. Even if you think your great, you aren't. YOU ARE BETTER THAN GREAT. You are the most amazing being on this planet, and you are worthy of forgiveness. Our pets show us everyday to live in the moment. To live for today. Forget the troubles of yesterday and get up and try again tomorrow.

We start by acknowledging what we are afraid to allow out. We acknowledge that it has happened and it has passed. Learn from the process from an outside view (like your pup does when you accidentally step on their tail while they sleep under your desk because they so desperately want to be with you at all times cause they love you more than love itself) Do your best not to do what caused you to feel out of sorts and next time change the way you make your choice, and be sure to always. Now this is important so pay attention. ALWAYS. Always pick the choice that most reflects your heart and radiates love. Trust me... If not me, trust your pets that show you everyday that you are enough. Love you 💕
